ANSWERS
General
  1. Can I use 2 pairs of wireless headphones at the same time?
If you use a Q-Home, Concert or Cinema series wireless headphone you can have unlimited headsets. The Q-Bean and Q-Bass series wireless headphones are only 1 to 1 so they can only support one headset

  2. Can i use my headphones with my portable mp3 player?

  9. What is the difference between your headphones and other headphones?
Most other headphones on the market are only stereo, meaning they only have 2 speaker sound. Our headphones work in 5.1 surround sound using our patented 6 speaker design in every pair of headphones giving you true theater sound. When watching a dvd movie or playing a game the sound surrounds you like no other headphones. You can hear sounds comming from all directions, other stereo headphones cannot do this. You just have to try them to hear for yourself.

  2. Windows wants to run this device as Stereo, how do I get 5.1 support?
There are no downloadable drivers for the HSMT-UD or UD headphones. As soon as you plug the headphones in the computer the operating system should automatically install the drivers. The only thing you have to do is go into your speakers advanced tab in sounds and audio devices in the control panel and change it to 5.1 surround sound speakers.

MG-AC97
  1. Can I use my speakers and the headphones at the same time?
No, the AC97 headphones plug directly into your soundcards outputs so either the speakers or headphones can be plugged in at one time.
  2. Do I need a soundcard with the AC97 headphones?
Yes, our headphones require a 5.1 compatible soundcard to Operate correctly but will work with most other soundcards in stereo only.
  3. I have a computer with an onboard soundcard will this be ok with the headphones.
This is a tricky question; it depends on the soundcard outputs. Some systems say they have a 5.1 soundcard but only have 3 connectors (usually line-in, line-out, and mic) our headphones require 4 to operate as designed (front speaker, center, rear and mic) So you may not be able to use the mic with this type of soundcard. Others have more connectors and will work correctly. We suggest checking with the manufacturer to find out more information about your soundcard.
  4. I have an Audigy2 soundcard and don’t want to unplug my speakers to use the headphones is there a way to do this?
You may want to purchase our LTB-USB-M headphones. They plug directly into the USB port and do not require a soundcard in your system. As you have a soundcard already you just may have to go into your device manager and disable your audigy2 card (only takes a few secs to do this). When you want to use your speakers again just re-enable the soundcard. The reason for this is that windows can only use 1 sound device at a time so you cannot have both the speakers and headphones on at the same time. (Why would you want them both on at the same time anyway?)
  5. I hear static when there is no sound playing how do I fix this?
This is usually caused due to a common ground loop problem that is not caused by your headphones.. Please use the included Ac Adapter for your power source rather than the direct USB to PC connection.

MG51-USB
  1. After a while play a game the sound becomes choppy - how do i fix this?
This is usually cause by your system running out of resources to process the sound correctly. To maximize your resources disable any program you currently do not need such as antivirus/firewall software while playing the game. Also you can disable any program you do not need to run every time the computer starts by clicking on Start then Run type in MSCONFIG then clicking on the Startup tab. Uncheck anything you do not need to run such as Realplayer MSN chat etc..
  2. Can I use my current soundcard and speakers and the USB headphones?
The answer is NO, windows can only use one sound device at at time.
  3. I hear an echo in teamspeak, skype etc.. whats wrong?
You probably have the playback volume on the mic turned on, just go into the audio control panel (blue icon in the system tray) go to mixer settings and in the top section only uncheck the mic.
  4. I hear static and or echo in the headphones how do I correct this.
Go into the audio control panel (the blue icon in your system tray) go to the mixer settings, uncheck the microphone in the play back section (top section leave the bottem one checked). The top section is the playback audio and will play the sound s through the headphones if this is enabled and you will get noise even if the mic is disconnected.

  7. The headphone audio are not in surround sound, whats wrong?
Most likely you did not change your speaker setup in the control panel to 5.1 sound or the program you are running does not support surround sound.
  8. The volume control does not work, how do I fix this?
Make sure you have all the latest updates from Microsoft including all service packs and security updates for your system. If you have a multimedia keyboard the drivers may affect the volume control, try using a standard keyboard without any drivers. If its still dont work you may have a virus or spyware on your system. To check for theses we recommend http://housecall.antivirus.com for a free virus scan and "adaware" from http://www.lavasoft.de also Microsofts antispyware at http://www.microsoft.com to check for adware/spyware on your system.

  10. I dont hear any sound what is wrong?
A number of thing could have happened, most common are the volume is set all the way down, the headphones are incorrectly plugged in, drivers are not installed. Or another soundcard is in the system that has to be disabled.
  11. How do I disable my soundcard?
The easiest way is to go into the device manager under sound devices and disable your soundcard. For onboard soundcards you can check your motherboard manual on how to disable it.

  12. What games work with the headphones?
Most newer games that support surround sound should work fine, The provided C-Media drivers with the LTB-USB-M should be used for games that use EAX or HRTF encoding. We have personally tested our headphones with games such as "Battlefield 1942" "Need for Speed Underground", "Counter Strike", "Half Life 2" "Metal of honor" with no problems.
  13. I play a game not listed here and the sounds are not right.
We have tested many games with our headphones and havent found any that have a problem. However we cannot test EVERY game ever made so you may want to check with the game manufacturers website for updates and patches for your game.

Q-BASS-U
  1. The audio seems low when I listen - what should I do?
First check the audio properties of your computer to see that the speaker/audio volume is at maximum. The volume control on the Q-Bean will only control the base OS volume and not spcifically the application (Some windows applications will however)
  2. The Microphone pick up level is very low - What should I do?
Check the advanced audio properties. The microphone setting should be enabled and correct the volume level there. Do not make it too high otherwise people you converse with may hear thier own voice. Use a moderate setting as the Microphone is quit sensitive.
  3. When I plug in the wireless transmitter I get a windows error.
Because the Q-Bass USB chipset is plug & play it loads a hardcoded driver into your USB port. You must not have any Media player application open when initially installing the USB transmitter into a USB port. If the port was being used for another USB device prior to connecting the Q-Bass transmitter, you may need to shutdown your system (not restart) then re-boot and wait until your computer has completely restarted. Then plug in the USB transmitter and wait until your computer recognizes the Audio Magic driver (takes about 1 minute) then procede to Sync the transmitter and receiver units.

  5. How do I adjust proper mic setting in "Dragon Naturally Speaking" ?
Some users report an issue withthe utility included with Dragon Naturally Speaking; when testing the microphone level, the utility automatically raises the volume control in the Mixer to the maximum level, boosting the level out of its usable range. This causes the utility to report that the microphone and sound card failed the test, even though everything is actually working properly. Try these steps to remedy this situation: 1) Open the operating system sound properties and verify that the microphone input is active. Test this by recording your voice to your computer (you can use AudioView or Windows Sound Recorder). Keep the Mixer open on the desktop. 2) Open Dragon Naturally Speaking, and run its calibration utility. Keep both this and the Mixer visible on the desktop. 3) When the Dragon calibration utility turns the microphone volume all the way up to 100%, switch to the Mixer and with the mouse click, drag and hold the microphone level down to about 75%, and proceed with the test (you will need to hold the mic level down during the entire test). 4) If the test fails, try again. This time, keep the microphone volume at 50%, or less if necessary. 5) When you have found a good microphone setting, close the Mixer. This will save the setting.

A 5-GHz band (802.11a) is also less susceptible to interference from common devices, such as 2.4-GHz cordless telephones, cell phones, and microwave ovens. Further, in areas where neighboring wireless networks can be detected, interference can be a problem. Because of the limited number of channels and the popularity of 2.4-GHz networks, a 5-GHz network is likely to experience less interference from a neighboring wireless network than a 2.4-GHz network and provide a better overall wireless connection. Although a 5-GHz network offers many channels, 802.11a networks are not widely supported by other devices that you may also want to add to your network, such as laptop computers." 1.

LTB-AC97-M

This is usually caused due to a common ground loop problem that is not caused by our headphones.. You can try these 3 things to resolve this issue. Because ground loops exist in machines with multiple AC devices (Monitor, peripherals etc...) They share the common attribute on inconsistent grounding (This means they each create their own power ground and cancel one another) usually this causes a ground loop that will bring the systems power supply noise into USB power circuit so to avoid this you can try the following: 1st try only one grounded connection to the PC. In other words use a PC power cable that has no third plug or get a cheater plug (One that converts the 3 prong plug into 2 prong plug, usually 1$ at a hardware store) 2nd you could try a separately powered USB port such as a USB hub. 3rd would be buying this: http://www.shopltb.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/3/products_id/34 99% of the time one of these suggestions solves this problem. If you want more information about ground loops you can look at this page (not affiliated with us) http://www.epanorama.net/documents/groundloop/basics.html

  6. The microphone isnt working how do I fix this?
There is a small black dot on the mic and one on the headphones make sure they match up and make sure the microphone is securely connected to the headphones, check your audio devices in the control panel and make sure the microphone is selected. If this still does not resolve this issue you may want to check the manual for your soundcard to make sure all your connections are correct. Some soundcards they say they are 5.1 but use the microphone jack as one of the surround speaker outputs, in this case you will not be able to use the microphone.
  7. What is the best soundcard to use with your headphones?
We have tested them with many different 5.1 soundcards such as the Audigy2 and Turtle Beach. All work well, only you can decide which soundcard is best for you
    [Back to top]
  8. Where are the drivers for the headphones i didnt get a cd.
The AC97 headphones do not require drivers so do not come with a driver cd, they plug directly into your soundcard. So if you have your sound working now the headphones will work too.
